James Trevor Lucier III is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Roseburg, Oregon. Formerly rooted in the creative scenes of Austin, Texas and Monterey, California, James now writes and performs under his given name, forging a sound that blends heartfelt songwriting with raw emotion and unflinching honesty.
Under his government name, James has released a prolific series of recordings, including his 2025 album Songs From My Childhood. In addition to his solo work, he fronts the band James and the Lost Dogs; a project that channels collective energy and camaraderie, bringing their songs to life on stage.
Over the years, James has also been associated with other interesting projects such as Vincent and Trevor, Moses Nose, The Proudest Monkeys, and currently sings Tenor in the Umpqua Singers - a premiere Vocal Jazz Ensemble; formative ventures that have all helped shape his musical voice and path.
